Summary
CNN data chief Harry Enten said Donald Trump is “already making history” for the wrong reasons as his approval rating hits new lows.
At 100 days into his second term, a CNN poll shows Trump’s approval at 41%, lower than his 44% in 2017, which was already a record low.
“He has broken his own record for being the worst,” Enten said. On key issues like the economy, his approval is just 39%.
Enten described the numbers as “awful, awful, awful,” emphasizing the American public’s growing dissatisfaction.
So at what point are people going to stop caring about these pointless approval rating articles? The man’s going for a third term with the Constitution in tatters, the rules are out the window. Approval is no longer required.
Approval always matters, even in a dictatorship. If it didn’t, the most autocratic governments would produce the least amounts of propaganda, and have the freest of free presses
Every leader ultimately rules by consent. Democracy just codifies a much simpler, much less violent process for granting or withholding that consent.
