Goldcrests are tiny insect eaters, that hop madly about trees, so it’s often the case that glimpses are all you get (I have taken better shots of them, but not for months). This one was high up an evergreen with the bright sun on the far side of the branches, just to help!

    Nice shots! I’ve seen a few recently in my area but they’re always hidden in foliage, so getting any kind of picture is tricky. They’re lovely birds, and have such a nice song.
