I have around of 16TB free space on hard drives and also a 1Gbps line, what can I seed to make the most impact, and I also seed geocities.archiveteam. Would love to seed more of not private trackers content.
Anna’s Archive has a tool that let’s you enter a max file size and generate a magnet link with files that need the most seeds: https://annas-archive.org/torrents#generate_torrent_list
If you want a .torrent file instead of a magnet link, you can use this tool: https://github.com/cparthiv/annas-torrentsNot piracy related, but Distributed Denial of Secrets has a bunch of leaked data, it’s basically like WikiLeaks. They have a guide for seeding on GitHub: https://github.com/ddosecrets/torrent-mirroring, I mirrored it on Codeberg in case it gets taken down: https://codeberg.org/andromxda/ddosecrets-torrent-mirroring/
In addition to Anna’s archive:
Anything with low seeders in torrents-csv.com
Love how I came here to comment about Anna’s Archive and every other comment is already the same answer!
Anna’s archive weakest torrents
Maybe something on I2P, to help grow the network.
The i2p network will grow just fine on its own. Especially if VPNs start getting banned.
Is there a guide? Can I seed any clearnet torrent or does it also need to be in an i2p tracker?
It needs to have I2P trackers, most popular one is http://tracker2.postman.i2p/announce.php, and it doesn’t accept clearnet trackers. Once you download and configure I2P, seeding should be easy, because there is a torrent client included in the install.
Guide to config your browser, after you run the I2P. https://geti2p.net/en/about/browser-config
Anna’s archive, as mentioned
Libgen has academic papers, which is really important. I’m not aware of any torrents that back up scihub, this is the closest thing
Stuff like kiwix gives you offline backups of Wikipedia
How illegal is it to host and seed Anna’s Archive?
Yes
