I found this ironic.

I don’t need research into the issue, as I’m sure I did at least half of whatever got me banned. I just wanted to point out the irony, is all.

    I looked it up, the ban reason is “Mindless no-contribution downvoting in a community you do not participate in.”

    Probably deserved by the rules, but if they care that much they should just use an instance that doesn’t accept downvotes.

      Ah! So by expressing my opinion of a post’s irrelevance, I’ve incurred some kind of “no, not that kind of participation” penalty.

      I’m surprised it was a reason so relatively tame. I think I’ve been kicked out of communities for better reasons.
