    Backdrop of military folk because:

    • They have to follow orders, no matter how asinine
    • Because of The Implication
    • Nobody from Greenland would stand behind this clown

Also, he is too cowardly to actually say this in Nuuk and has to say it at Pituffik Space Base 1000+ miles away, like the couch defiler he is.

The country disappearing its own citizens claims another country isn’t protecting its own

    How quaint

They are going to do this for real. I hope europe shows some balls this time because if not we are on a very fast lane and there are no exits before we reach war.

these people explicitly want a world where rules and fair play do not apply to them but control the “other”.

Not doing enough to keep it safe (from invasion). Here, we’re going to annexe Greenland to prove our point.

The suit stuff aside, what’s with his weird grammar? “You have not done a good job by the people in Greenland.” In this sort of sentence, “for” sounds much more natural than “by”. And I think the common phrase that “Person A hasn’t done right by Person B,” is more of an exception.

But assuming he did mean it that way, then he’s speaking as if the people of Greenland feel wronged by Denmark, but they don’t.

In fact, Americans are much more disappointed with Trump and Vance than Greenlanders are disappointed with Denmark. If disapproval rating was the important thing, then Denmark would be acquiring the United States.

I am not a native English speaker but: “do right by” is a construction meaning to treat fairly. I assume that’s what he wanted to say.

Also he is talking out of his ass. They couldn’t find a single person willing to vouch for him and his wife when they wanted to visit. From tens of thousands of people living there they couldn’t find a single person. Greenlanders don’t like them.

Yes, I specifically mentioned that “do right by” was an exception, and was likely what confused his grammar.

This image is proof that it was a fantastic idea from the citizens of Nuuk to not allow the Vances in their town. They’d have been abused for an image like this. This is the only reason why Vance wanted to visit Greenland.

So now they’re using their soldiers as backdrop to pretend they’re Greenlanders.

Yeah they let this slimy sucker into their country. WTF why did they let him visit? Why let a representative from a hostile land in? He should have been shot the moment he tried to get off the plane.

Denmark isn’t doing enough to keep Greenland safe?

First of all, is there some conflict there that I’m not aware of?

Second of all, we have a goddamn US military base there. Are the troops behind you not doing enough to keep it safe?
