I am a homesteader/artist. Communities are starting some now but they’re few and far between. I’m certainly an outlier on Lemmy as communities for my interests go. I grew up building PC’s and accessing internet for Usenet but now I am old and I’ve lost track. I was an early adopter of piracy and Reddit when it came around. These places have kept me from paying for tv and movies for over 20 years as well as keeping in touch with privacy somewhat.
