Local woman Skye Meadows, better known by her in-game display name TheValidValkyrie, has found gender affirmation in an unexpected place: the voice chat of early access MOBA shooter Deadlock.

    Yeah, hating on AAA games released where it is immediately apparent that half of the game was cut because they wanted to make some marketing deadline and they cut half the dev team the previous year for cost savings is justified. Calling out journos being bought with better access or straight up bribes is also justified. Games with content that is “pandering” without fleshing the world out, which should be insulting to the people being represented as well in a “hey fellow gays buy our game” is also bad.

    But these people were upset with random single-dev games about mental health? It’s simply unfathomably stupid. Also, harassing anyone, game dev or journo is also pathetic.
