But then why use
Term: explanation
and directly below that
“Term”-- explanation
Oh my gods I didn’t even notice that until you pointed it out. It’s so upsetting.
For the same reason the whole title is in quotes: American literacy is very poor.
If it’s too correct Americans can’t read it.
