      Recent assaults on Chasiv Yar and Pokrovsk have proved that Russia is prepared to expend troops, weapons and time trying to capture cities even if they have little strategic value.

      It’s so funny to me that every contested city is the turning point of the war and the keystone to Ukrainian defenses until the moment Russia is poised to seize it, when it becomes a useless objective, little more than dirt, low strategic value etc. It happened with Avdiivka, Bakhmut, and now with Pokrovsk and Chasiv Yar. If these settlements have so little tactical value then why are the Banderites expending so many men and resources to defend them in the first place…
