Summary

Trump’s trade wars and tariffs are hitting his own voters the hardest, with retaliatory levies from China, Canada, and Europe targeting industries in Trump-supporting states.

A New York Times analysis found that nearly 8 million Americans, mostly Trump voters, work in affected sectors like farming, steel, and manufacturing.

While some remain loyal, others are voicing frustration over job losses and economic strain. States like Kentucky, Wisconsin, and Indiana are particularly vulnerable.

Cuts to Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security could further impact Trump’s base.

I’m so worried about the fascism that I can hardly bother to worry about the economic consequences.

Honestly I’m hoping the economic consequences are so severe that it cripples fascism. Basically if everyone’s unemployed and angry the ability to control folks becomes questionable at best.
