    I’m betting they’re ignoring the data because it doesn’t support their goal of subjecting and persecuting minorities.

      Of course they are. They don’t care about the truth, they don’t care about “helping kids,” they care about their narrative. That’s it.

      There is a quote that sums it up pretty well.

      “If conservatives become convinced that they cannot win democratically, they will not abandon conservatism. They will reject democracy.”

      They will abandon anything inconvenient to their goal. Even if their goal is unpopular and the people reject it.
