A dry stout is a normal version of the beer that doesn’t have addictives. While pastry stouts has added sugar or natural flavors put into it. An example being vanilla, mint, and even pumpkin spice.

Alot of the Pastry Stouts are made way to sweet and it ruins the unique flavors stouts have in my opinion. They can be good but dry stouts have a higher floor and and ceiling in my opinion.

I have tried to like stouts so many times but they all just taste awful to me. The only one I can tolerate is Guinness. I’ve always leaned more towards IPAs and sours. Though I like plenty of other kinds of beer as well.
