Closing the department of education is the goal and promoting “parent choice” so they can funnel public funding to private schools though vouchers.

You have no proof of this whatsoever.

And I DO know how schools are funded. I worked for one for over 20 years.

If you worked in one and didn’t recognize the effects of this happening, you didn’t pay attention. It’s been the Republican playbook for more than 20 years.

I’d say go back, but we’re close to not having that option.

Again, you THINK that is happening. Republicans have never said they just wanna go around closing schools.

You’ve never worked in a school have you?

Re-read the comment you’re referencing before questioning someone else’s credentials. Reading comprehension is a benefit of a well funded education system.

Irrelevant question, since you already stated you have and are either choosing to ignore or are genuinely unaware of the impact that defunding and/or getting rid of the department of education has on schools.

It’s not irrelevant. I said you obviously didn’t work in a school, then you talked to me about doubting someone’s credentials. But it’s obvious you haven’t worked in a school if you think that Republicans closing the education department means that schools will close down and that they want that.

The education department isn’t in charge of opening or closing schools.

I worked in school sector for 20 years. I get that you hate Republicans. Ok, cool. But at least stick to facts when you hate on them.

You continue to miss the point entirely. This amuses me, but also gives me a sense of dread knowing it’s a symptom of a larger problem.

Right?! See? I’m the least of your problems.

Also as for a “point,” missed or not, try not to talk about someone questioning one’s credentials when you don’t have the credentials. I worked in the fucking public school sector for over 20 years. I talk to teachers every fucking day and yes, we have talked about the Ed Dept shutting down and trump.

I’m not saying the Educational Dept isn’t important. But it doesn’t close down schools. Totally separate issues. Feel free to be concerned with both, but don’t combine them.
