LMAO! Coward little admin banned me from communities I’ve never even posted in, because I called his shit out when he tried to poke his fart-sniffer into a comment thread- now get this…. in a community on an instance he doesn’t even have authority over.
Additionally…. I don’t even see shit from .ml because I have that entire instance blocked. lol!

What a fucking joke! I’d say a bullet was dodged, but I’d never even have known it was fired to begin with had I not checked the mod log.
Words cannot express how embarrassing it must to be to walk around as this mouth-breather.

Not sure how to react to your comment, given that I read it through Lemmy. I came here after leaving reddit about a year ago or two, but it seems like we on Lemmy are the bad ones?
I didn’t particularly notice it, but have I fallen with a bad crowd, in your opinion? .ml instances and the occasional troll aside, it seems much more constructive and grounded than reddit 😬
Lemmy as a software and the dev instances (ml and grad) can be taken as a bad crowd, yes.
But what matters is the fediverse, which has nothing to do with the lemmy devs, so you can move to piefed or kbin (mbin? i keep forgetting which one is the active one) and still be a part of everything fediverse, including the reddit alternatives.
Thank you for taking the time to respond. While I’m aware that there are other paths into the fediverse besides Lemmy, maybe you could walk me through as to why you assert that Lemmy as a software (or probably rather their developers, I guess) can be taken as a bad crowd?
Because the same core devs of Lemmy are the same ones who host the ml and grad instances, so by supporting their platform in any way, you are helping them keeping relevance, even worse those who donate to the devs.
Also… you are in a post about the lemmy dev and ml host/admin spreading missinformation, in a community filled with posts from their abuses… what else do you need to consider supporting their software is a bad thing to do? Or that they are a bad crowd?
Those are good points, thank you very much. I just never connected the dots from Lemmy devs to admins - in my mind they were completely disconnected.
From a cursory check, it seems like piefed is at a good enough place to just switch over - would you say that’s a place worth supporting? Or would I just jump from the frying pan into the fire?
Again, I truly appreciate your taking the time to share your experience!
So far so good with Piefed, I specially like the blocking capabilities that are miles ahead of lemmy (since lemmy devs does not want you completely blocking their shit).
I use it from web so I can’t speak about the apps.
And this being my fourth account I can say you should think of your fediverse accounts as disposables since hosts might leave, admins might go crazy or devs might abandon a project.
Always be ready to jump ship and don’t swear loyalty.
