I knew there was a huge misogyny problem with men claiming that women are just fundamentally worse at chess, I didn’t know this was controversial, though. I thought the competition categories were already “open” and “women” and I’ve definitely heard the usual whining by transphobes about letting trans women compete in women’s events. There are even chuds who object to the open category? Bizarre.
