This Lemmy instance is mainly geared towards hacking and technology, but all are welcome!

HackingNe.ws is a space for ethical discussions about hacking, cybersecurity, privacy, and technology. To maintain a respectful and informative community, all users must follow these rules:

1. No Illegal Activity

Discussions about hacking techniques must be for educational or ethical purposes only.
No promotion of illegal hacking, cracking, or unauthorized system access.
Do not share or request stolen data, credentials, or exploit codes intended for malicious use.

2. Respect Others

No harassment, threats, or personal attacks.
No discrimination based on race, gender, sexuality, nationality, or other protected characteristics.
Healthy debates are welcome, but hostility will not be tolerated.

3. No Misinformation or Scams

Do not spread false information, scams, phishing attempts, or deceptive practices.
No promotion of fraudulent services, Ponzi schemes, or misleading security tools.

4. No Spam or Self-Promotion

No excessive advertising or self-promotion without meaningful engagement.
Sharing personal projects is welcome, but only if relevant to cybersecurity and technology.

5. Keep Content Relevant

Posts should be related to ethical hacking, security research, privacy, open-source software, or technology.
Off-topic discussions should be kept to designated spaces.

6. No NSFW or Inappropriate Content

No pornography, gore, or other extreme content.
No doxxing or sharing of personal/private information without consent.

7. Follow Ethical and Legal Standards

Support responsible disclosure practices when discussing security vulnerabilities.
Respect copyright laws and intellectual property rights.
Do not advocate for or encourage illegal hacking activities.

8. Moderation and Enforcement

The moderators have the right to remove posts or ban users who violate these rules.
Repeated or severe violations may result in permanent bans.
Appeals can be made through appropriate channels, but moderator decisions are final.
