The idea seems to be that they are hiding that it’s a ceasefire violation when they explicitly are reporting a ceasefire violation.

This would make sense if they used the same ‘objective’ language for countries like Russia which are adversaries but they clearly don’t. If Russia did something similar all the adjectives would be in the title. And NYT wouldn’t be quoting Russia but Ukraine calling it a massive ceasefire violation.

Quote marks indicate opinions instead of objectivity, however BBC doesn’t always use it as a subjective quote, defeating that argument.
