I saw it on tv news yesterday and I was just so sad that this is what we have now as a president. Switched channels quickly, no point being depressed. But its just sad.

I think we are at the end stage of capitalism and people should live their lives, trying to get out of the matrix if they can.

Its not just bots. Im a ordinary user and I honestly didnt know how much of her stories are even true. Not everyone is even interested in this from day to day.

I thought it was about connections from her rich family, and their ability to pull strings to make these sort of things happen for their kid.

But from this thread, it seems the Wikipedia truth is that she is seen as a hero and risking her life. Maybe that is what actually happened, I wouldnt know.

Its probably more about wanting justice and being unable to get it. Living in a country where police pops a journalist and nothing really happens. Just some article that someone is “concerned”.

I dont think its a complaint about the journalism per se. Just feeling frustrated that the police officer is not immediately dismissed and sent to court to stand trial for obvious intentional use of force against someone completely innocent.

But America has changed and the very president encourages violence and pure racism, so… Yeah.

A young girl with this much determination… So you think anyone with enough determination will be able to speak to the EU and get media coverage to argue with Donald Trump?

I dont have one. I just thought it was strange. Normally people dont get any attention at all. You have thousands of people demonstrating over issues and they get almost zero attention. This girl was put on media, got a lot of support and attention and became some kind of a symbol. Why her?

People protest all the time and nothing happens.

I dont know. I just would like to know why she is treated special and became a world celebrity, since nobody else could do that.

Literally everything is manipulation. Nobody questions why this particular girl was allowed to speak in front of the EU. Nobody thinks about why things happen. Who are selected and who is not. What agenda is played out.

If you as a teenager wants to talk to the EU, you think you can just do that? Many questions.

She is kind of clueless, but yeah. At least maybe sparks people thinking.

No it comes from long experience of knowing they will get away with it.

Its about having operating bases around the world, to make sure you can reach/strike/influence anywhere you need.

It will say something like:

Thats a good question. It doesnt seem like people are able to think anymore. They just go out and try to stop riot gear fascism in their shorts. I can only assume they think that fascism will be stopped if they yell and protest loudly enough?

You shouldnt. Post and be downvoted. As long as you are not intentionally trolling anyone, it shows strength of character to stand up for what you believe.

Its very different from work where you are not free to do what you want, because your entire paycheck is based on going along with the charade. You dont have to do that outside of work. :)

Capitalism is amazing. We can all just chill and have coffee and have amazing lives.

I guess its also our culture where sex is seen as the most important thing in life. So everyone is convinced their entire value consists of how much mating they are doing. Maybe that would be true if we were breeding animals but we are not.
