I disregarded all my other projects to work on some Halloween costumes. I’m really hapoynwith how they came out!

The second ones are inspired by the song ‘Disco Snails’ by Vulfmon

I’ve started making jewellery over the last two months! Here’s what I’ve made so far (and haven’t given away to friends yet)

And I’m currently working on a brass butterfly with a carnelian body! Just started it last night

Next step is cutting out the holes in the wings, then a HOLE lot of filing to smooth and round the edges. After that, gonna have to figure out how to mount a stone with prongs, because the stone is too tall for a bezel

Technically it’s the opposite of “I made this” because I’m removing something nature made, but I’m making progress on digging out a cluster of stumps

I managed to get the cosplay build to a wearable state for halloween, and even got recognized ( and got free beer!) even if it was missing some ( a lot!) of parts. The helmet still need a looooot of finesse and work but its comming along.

    Mainly my art.

I made this last sunday, my first time with spraypaints. Very good instructor!

But I’m mainly working on pencil sketches. This was without reference which I’m proud of despite some proportions issues which are much better than previous efforts.

I finally finished putting my new-to-me transmission in my old car. Was a bit of a gamble, wasn’t sure it would be any better than the old one, but you can’t buy new ones anymore. Turns out it’s in great shape. Phew.

Took me close to 5 months. Not because it was particularly hard mind you. The biggest challenge was making the time. In retrospect, a bit depressing how little of my day is mine to use. But on the upside, hey, I have a great car again. Vroom Vroom. So hooray for today. Now onto the next challenge.

I started a new doodle recently.

It’s a long term on-and-off again project where I just doodle whatever comes to mind. I still have a lot of canvas to cover before it’s done :)

Wrote a 100 line Python script to merge volunteer contact lists across two different SaaS platforms for my nonprofit today. Kinda cool little puzzle I guess.

I’ve been working on some UI stuff with my cleaning game. I already had a book item, but I booted up Phasmophobia for the first time in years and realized how nicely their always-accessible guide book was. So I rewrote mine! It also auto-hides things that the player hasn’t learned:

(Ignore the tools header I forgot it was there 😆)

It’ll be steam only for now, I’m planning on using their lobby system. I’m going to try to share stuff on the programming.dev instance in a few weeks 😄

But it should work on low end hardware and steam deck, it’s been half developed on my nearly-decade old laptop!

A complete tuck pointing of my house foundation because it was made with field stones and eventually all of the mortar turned to dust. Started in April 2025 and should be done in about two weeks. It is, and was, brutal. The nice thing about it is that I did it myself so the labour was free. Now I think of myself as a “freemason” and pretend I have a lot of esoteric, secret knowledge.
