    Shaking the bowl sometimes helps them reach those, otherwise it’s standard behavior in cats to leave some leftover from their food.

    cats don’t like when their whiskers touch things. it triggers their senses of ‘tight space, might not fit’

    try using a plate instead of a bowl and they will be less likely to meow/pester you when they get to the ‘bottom’

        My cat’s whiskers were breaking short and when I noticed I switched to a shallow bowl designed for cats. It immediately helped. Cats Ike plates and shallow bowls over tight spaces.

        I think this is closer to the truth, because she’ll still happily get herself stuck in a cardboard tube.
